    Applications are now open for the 2025 Nigeria Higher Education Foundation (NHEF) Scholars Program.

    The NHEF identifies talented young Nigerians from our various Partner Universities who have demonstrated strong academic excellence and well-roundedness in both professional and extracurricular pursuits and provides them with intensive career training and skill-building exercises needed to aid them in long-term career development.

    The NHEF Scholars Program is an early career-accelerating program that provides diverse opportunities to the selected Scholars from our various Partner Universities.

    Each Scholar goes through a weeklong orientation program that exposes them to career development training that is pivotal in facilitating an easy transition into the global workforce.

    To qualify for the Nigeria Higher Education Foundation NHEF Scholars Program, each candidate:

    • must possess a strong commitment to Leadership, Community Service, and Philanthropy, as well as making a lasting impact across the globe.
    • must be in penultimate students at our Partner universities, i.e. 300 Level students studying a 4 year course or 400-level students studying a 5 year course.

    The Joint Japan/World Bank Graduate Scholarship Program covers all the expenses of tuition, accommodation, travel, and healthcare, including a monthly living stipend of JPY 200,000.

    The Yokohama National University (YNU), in collaboration with the Joint Japan/World Bank Graduate Scholarship Program (JJ/WBGSP), has announced its Master’s Degree Program in Infrastructure Management (IMP) for the academic session of 2025-2027.

    Requirements for 2025 Joint Japan/World Bank Scholarship Program

    To be considered for the Joint Japan/World Bank Scholarship Program (JJ/WBGSP), you must meet the criteria below:

    • Nationality: Be a national of a World Bank member country eligible for financing. Dual citizens of developed countries are ineligible.
    • Academic Background: Hold a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) with superior academic performance earned at least three years before the scholarship application deadline.
    • Work Experience: Have at least three years of recent, full-time professional experience in development-related work after earning a Bachelor’s degree. Exceptions apply for applicants from countries on the World Bank’s “Harmonized List of Fragile Situations.”
    • Health: Be in good health.
    • Exclusions: Not be an Executive Director, staff, or a close relative of World Bank or IMF personnel.

    Successful applicants will be eligible for the JJ/WBGSP scholarship, which includes:

    • monthly allowance of approximately JPY 170,000 to JPY 200,000.

    To be considered for the Prince Edward Island Internship, you must meet the following requirements:

    • Successful completion of a post-secondary program within 36 months of the position start date.

    • Some experience in meeting tight timelines;

    Duties of Prince Edward Island Interns

    • Applicants shall be researchers or instructors (or potentially expected to become those) who needs to obtain M.Sc. degree.
    • Applicants shall submit a financial declaration which is a personal statement by the applicant explaining his/her financial status explaining the reasons of why he/she should obtain the scholarship.
    • Applicant must be a holder of nationality of a country in Africa except for Egypt.
    • Must have home address and current address in African continents.
      Not serving in the military.
      Applicants should fulfil admission requirement and pass interview and oral examination.
    • For Faculty of Engineering (FOE) ProgramsFOE M.Sc. applicants: should hold a Bachelor degree in engineering with CGPA ≥ 3 out of 4 / Description ≥ very good/ classification ≥ second class upper or equivalent to the mentioned before.
