    Applications are open for the WTO Young Trade Leaders Programme 2025. The Young Trade Leaders Programme aims to foster a better understanding of the WTO’s work and international trade among young people by creating a network of “Young Trade Leaders” around the world.

    World Trade Organization (WTO) Young Trade Leaders are exceptional young people who have a clear understanding of how trade can be of benefit to people and planet.

    They bring new perspectives and ideas about the role of trade and the WTO while also having the opportunity to learn about the organization’s work and play a role in advancing its mission.

    Eligibility Criteria

    Applicants must be:

    • Between the ages of 18 and 28 on the closing date for applications, with a strong interest in international trade.
    • A citizen of a WTO member.
    • Neither currently affiliated with the WTO, nor have a relative who is currently WTO-affiliated.
    • Able to demonstrate a good level of written and spoken English – knowledge of a second WTO working language (French or Spanish) is an asset.
    • Attuned to the need for diplomacy, show a willingness to respect diverse perspectives, willing to foster understanding of trade issues and promote constructive dialogue.

    YOUTH IMPACT  For Environmental Sustainability and Climate Action is an initiative led by UNESCO in collaboration with Nestlé, powered by the Nestlé Youth Entrepreneurship Platform.

    It seeks to support young people to help their communities through climate action and environmental sustainability initiatives, by providing them with resources and skills necessary to implement their innovative projects.

    Themes

    • Climate change mitigation and adaptation strategies that support local communities
    • Sustainable food systems
    • Regenerative agricultural practices
    • Packaging sustainability innovations

    Eligibility Criteria:

    Beneficiaries will be young individuals, youth-led organizations, enterprises, associations, or networks who:

    • Are identified as “youth” in their respective countries or (in lack of a national definition) within the age range of 18-30 years old from the beginning to the end of the project.
    • Engage in activism and change making initiatives, entrepreneurialism, either individually or as members of entities/associations.
    • Youth-led organization and networks, seeking impact at grassroots level, with regional, national, local scope, or chapters of international organizations, and based in the country where their proposal will be implemented.
    • All applications will propose projects that are:
    • relevant to the Initiative’s themes as elaborated above
    • implemented within 6 months
    • local or national in scope
    • delivered by a team of at least 3 young people with a clearly identified project leader.

    Program Benefits

    •  Grant of USD 8,500 each, and
    • Training and one-to-one mentorship, throughout their project implementation.
    • 100 grants of USD 8,500 each are available globally, with 20 grants designated for each UNESCO region: Africa, Arab Region, Asia and Pacific, Europe and North America, and Latin America and the Caribbean.
    • The 100 grantees will embark on an exclusive 6-month transformative journey of training and mentoring with experts from Nestlé and UNESCO.

    The NYLP is an integral part of the Authority’s strategy for contributing towards nation-building by bolstering human capacity development. Under the programme, NSIA offers young, ambitious and performance driven graduates an opportunity to gain direct practical experience in the Authority’s core business areas through a scheme designed to build global talents and raise a new generation of leaders for the nation at large.

    It is a composite 2-year long programme covering classroom sessions and on-the-job training that offers an unparalleled opportunity to fresh graduates seeking to gain firsthand experience and competence in Asset and Portfolio Management, Management, Infrastructure Project Management, Investment Operations, Compliance, Audit and Risk Management.

    Through intensive on-the-job training, successful applicants will be equipped with a unique combination of knowledge, skills and competencies required to make the seamless transition into the larger corporate environment. Following the successful launch of the pilot programme in 2021 and a second instalment in 2023, NSIA now seeks to commence the 2025 NYLP.

    The Ban Ki-moon Centre for Global Citizens (BKMC) Youth AgriChampions Program 2025 for young Agripreneurs.

    The Ban Ki-moon Centre for Global Citizens (BKMC) is proud to host the 4th edition of the Youth AgriChampions – a Peer2Peer workshop series on climate adaptation in agriculture. The initiative brings together youth grassroot voices from the world of smallholder farming and agricultural entrepreneurship in Ghana, Kenya, Nigeria, Rwanda and Zambia, to share their on-the-ground experience with adapting their practices to climate change. During the workshops, the BKMC Youth AgriChampions will develop a youth demand paper to be elevated by BKMC Co-chair and 8th Secretary-General of the UN, Ban Ki-moon, in his advocacy work.

    In the past years, selected Youth AgriChampions joined the BKMC delegation on the ground at the African Food System Forum in Rwanda and COP29 in Azerbaijan to launch the Youth AgriChampions Demand Paper and represent farmers’ voices around the world.

    Upon successful completion of the workshop series, participants are awarded certificates signed by Ban Ki-moon himself and become part of our ever-growing BKMC Youth AgriChampions Alumni Network.

    The Next Generation Resource Governance Leaders Program is an internship that aims to balance theory with real-world application, providing participants with the necessary multi-disciplinary intellectual development, practical skills, and research abilities to think in new ways to solve complex governance challenges.

    The Program is also a strategy to establish a pipeline of young pan-African leaders to provide a sustainable path for good governance.

    The fundamental goal is to train and nurture young people in a supportive working environment through a systematic capacity development approach.

    Essentially, beyond the technical training in resource governance, interns will be exposed to the tools and guidance needed to set and achieve realistic personal and professional goals, coupled with well-rounded and ethical leadership training.

    Responsibilities

    NextGen Leaders will deliver timely and quality evidence-based policy analysis, training, and advocacy through strong collaborations, ensuring that ACEP remains a thought-leader in Africa’s energy and extractive policy space. Specifically, the NextGen Leaders will:

    • Contribute to writing research reports and policy briefs on the energy and extractives sector of Africa.
    • Support stakeholder engagement activities on ACEP’s outputs and position on energy and extractive sector issues in Africa.
    • Contribute to the planning, implementation, and evaluation of annual programs.
    • Support organizational development activities.
    • Support in resource mobilization efforts, including grants and proposal writing.
    • Contribute to program management, monitoring and evaluation (M&E) activities.
